Cincinnati Presbyterian Home (soon renamed Llanfair Terrace) was founded.

1956 - LF Opened-1

In the early 1950s, a council of pastors from the Cincinnati, Lower Dayton and Portsmouth Presbyteries spearheaded an expansion fund drive to bring the Cincinnati Presbyterian Home to life. They raised $250,000 toward the first building, which consisted of 40 resident rooms, and additional gifts included $20,000 to purchase the land in memory of Clifford Koops and his family.

The first resident, Lula Kuck, lived at Dorothy Love in Sidney while waiting for Cincinnati Presbyterian Home to open. She was followed by 39 other women in the two-story building, along with matron Jean Lacker.
