Adjacent to Westminster Terrace was the Thurber Tower apartment building, home to a number of efficiencies, one- and two-bedroom apartments as well as a rooftop pool and terrace for activities. When OPH purchased Thurber Tower, they undertook extensive renovations to enhance its amenities for retirement living. Existing residents were permitted to remain in their apartments until renovations were completed, at which point they had the option to pay an endowment and move in permanently.

   The campus was renamed Westminster-Thurber Community to demonstrate that both buildings were part of a unified community.
