Ohio Presbyterian Homes changed their name to Ohio Presbyterian Retirement Services (OPRS) to better reflect their expanded scope of work and the mission they had adopted in 1985: Our mission is to provide older adults with caring and quality services toward the enhancement of physical, mental and spiritual well-being consistent with the Christian Gospel.

            The OPRS Foundation was also formed in 1986, with the purpose of raising, managing, investing and distributing funds for OPRS’s charitable purposes. The Foundation was designed as a separate corporation with its own Board of Trustees.
