OPRS acquired The Vineyard on Catawba in Port Clinton.

In the early 1990s, a group of people from several churches in Port Clinton determined the need for an affordable housing option for older adults in that area. Richard B. Uhle, former president and CEO of OPRS, took action and, together with the churches and a number of volunteers, soon acquired the 33 acres of land that would become the Vineyard on Catawba.

Phase I of the Vineyard on Catawba’s three-phase plan, the Concord Apartments, was dedicated September 8, 1996. The building offered 40 moderately priced one- and two-bedroom units. 1997 - Vineyard Acquired

As the community continued to progress, leadership realized they needed to partner with someone who had expertise in senior living. So, in October 1997, OPRS acquired the Vineyard on Catawba. OPRS jumped right into Phase II construction plans, which included a projected 68 ranch-style one-, two- and three-bedroom villas.
