The Alfred C. and Marian M. Mahan Cultural Center opened at Breckenridge Village.
The Mahan Cultural Center, the first of its kind among OPRS communities, was developed as a 3,000 square foot addition linking the existing Osborne Community Plaza and Shafer-Schweitzer House apartments. The new construction offered a learning center, multi-room arts studio, business resource center and an expanded multi-purpose room.
The center was named posthumously for the lead donors of the project, Alfred and Marian Mahan, who were longtime residents of Breckenridge Village and the Willoughby community.
