The Myrna & Hugh Porter Chapel at Rockynol was dedicated.    2011 - RN Porter Chapel Dedicated

The Myrna & Hugh Porter Chapel, completed in November 2011, featured not only a beautiful space for spiritual programming, but several unique and meaningful pieces that were incorporated into the design. The stained-glass windows used throughout the Chapel are from St. Hyacinth Catholic Church in Cleveland, Ohio. In the early 1950s, the church built a new sanctuary and commissioned the windows to show stories from the life of Christ. The cross at the front of the chapel was a gift designed and built by architect James Michael Milligan of JMM Architects. It was created using pieces of wood of various sizes, finishes, and species to represent the diversity of the Church around the world.

The project also included a chapel concourse that connected the assisted and independent living apartments, established safe outdoor space for special care residents, and created an indoor garden area.
