Please join us for a complimentary Women in History presentation of Louisa May Alcott’s life. Alcott is widely known as the writer of the coming-of-age book Little Women. Did you know that due to her success as a writer in the late1800s she supported her parents and three sisters? Did you know that due to her wish to promote women’s roles and her hatred for slavery, she volunteered to be a nurse in the army hospital in Washington, D.C.?
