Join us for an inspiring presentation featuring Sacagawea, the courageous Native American guide who, with her infant son Pomp by her side, played a vital role in the historic Lewis and Clark Expedition following the Louisiana Purchase.
Brought to life through captivating storytelling and music, this memorable program offers a unique glimpse into Sacagawea’s extraordinary journey, resilience, and lasting legacy.
About the Women In History Programming
Women In History is a non-profit corporation dedicated to the education of all people through the dramatic re-creation of lives of notable women in history. With a passion for history and the women who are responsible for at least half of it, Women in History gives voice to some of the most stirring and inspiring stories that have gone untold for far too long. Through careful research and thorough study, the group has recreated riveting and entertaining life stories of some of history’s most remarkable ladies.
Each account is presented in a costume that reflects the time period, in first-person, and in an engaging way that allows those in attendance to interact with her and find out who she really was and what daily life was like during her lifetime.

Partnering for the Ohio Living Home Health & Hospice Community Enrichment Services
We are proud to partner with Youngstown State University to bring innovative programming to our community through the Success Over 60 initiative. Funded by YSU’s Success Over 60 program, this collaborative effort supports educational, creative, and wellness opportunities designed specifically for older adults. The program is rooted in the belief that learning and growth should continue at every stage of life, and it helps remove barriers by providing access to university resources, student involvement, and intergenerational engagement. This partnership plays a key role in bringing enriching experiences—like our current series — to life, and we’re grateful for the support that makes it all possible.
