Discover the people, traditions and spirit that helped shape one of Cincinnati’s most distinctive neighborhoods during Cincinnati’s German Heritage at Ohio Living Llanfair on Sept. 17 at 12:45 p.m. Jay Kathman, a docent with Cincinnati Museum Center, will take guests on a historical journey to the 19th century, when German immigrants established a thriving community in Over-the-Rhine. Learn how its beer gardens, singing societies, shops, churches, breweries and industries helped create a unique culture within Cincinnati and transformed the neighborhood into a reconstructed homeland for the German people. Guests will also enjoy festive German fare and drinks during the program. The event will be held at Ohio Living Llanfair, located at 1701 Llanfair Avenue in Cincinnati.
